About the T72 M1
The 1970s saw the entrance of new Soviet armor in the shape of the T72M1, envisaged as a replacement for the T-62 tank. This plastic model assembly kit of the T72M1 faithfully captures the compact gun and low silhouette, right down to the rough surfaces of the cast metal hull. Modelers can choose to recreate the T72M1 in Soviet or Middle East spec, and the kit also includes photo-etched parts to recreate netting over the engine grilles, plus vinyl tubing for supplementary fuel tank lines, and even springs - the result is a highly detailed finish. A figure is also provided. Don't forget that this tank also faced off against opponents such as the U.S. Abrams in the Persian Gulf War, making them perfect diorama-mates.
As with all Tamiya items, instructions are clear and concise, in order to allow the modeller to build a detailed model with relative ease. These assembly kits require paint and modelling glue sold separately
