Product Description

Curious Minds Did You Know:

In the time of ancient Greece Archimedes attempted to build a "death ray" using a large lens to focus the light on incoming enemy ships and burn them down. Despite Archimedes being a great mathematician historians and scientists have agreed that this weapon would be ineffective.

The Archimedes screw is designed to displace lift water up in order to irrigate plants. This is an interesting item for anyone interested in physics!

Suitable for ages 5+.

The screw did not lift water … but we had fun with it anyway as it lifted sugar and flour… probably would lift seeds or lentils… maybe the sleeve tube was a little loose
