Hemisferium Solar Compass
This nautical compass was used in the 16th century. During the Age of Discovery this piece of apparatus was of critical importance in navigation and developing cartography. The Spanish conquistadors would sail around the world-conquering territory, colonising far lands and opening trade routes all of which relied on precise navigation.
This exquisitely detailed model has added on the compass´ plate, a gnomon so it can also be used as a sundial to tell the time wherever your adventures take you.
The compass measures 85mm across and 45mm thick.
Material: Brass bathed (lacquered) with plastic glass over magnetic compass.
Hemisferium products are handmade ornaments with limited functionality, made primarily for decoration purposes. As they are handcrafted there may be small imperfections.
