Curious Minds Did You Know? There are around 85,000 different species of mollusc living today!

Brachiopods have a very long history of life on Earth (at least 550 million years). They first appear as fossils in rocks of the earliest Cambrian age. Brachiopods are considered living fossils with three orders present in the oceans today, albeit they are relatively rare.

Though they may seem like clams or oysters they are not even related – they are not even molluscs!
