You can see Hydraulics at work in lots of places every day. Scissor Lifts are used on building sites or inside large buildings where a high working platform is required, they work in the same way as this Mini Scissor Lift, so have fun and see what you can lift. This model uses the same principles as those used in real situations, except you use water instead of hydraulic fluid - much cleaner! Once built, it provides an excellent example of how we use technology to reach the top. Great fun for kids to learn about hydraulics and simple machines, including interesting levers.
